The CBF announced this Thursday (11/12) a structural change in Brazilian vacancies for Conmebol Libertadores. From 2026, the Copa do Brasil will offer two classifications for the continental tournament: in addition to the champion, the vice-champion will also guarantee their presence in the competition.

The 2026 edition of the Copa do Brasil will begin the week of February 18. The 20 Brasileirão clubs are only entering the fifth phase, scheduled for April.
