During a ministerial meeting this Wednesday 17, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva affirmed that the current moment demands professionalism and pragmatism from his team. Citing the elections, the president said next year’s conflict would pit an adversary who did not have “the same profile of commitment to society.” “What is the profile of one of the possible candidates, and others who are not yet? People will become invisible again, because these people do not see people,” he said.
“The moment we are living in demands that we be more professional and more pragmatic. Until today I have not spoken to you about politics. Many of you I did not even know, or I knew them from the newspaper. When I bring someone as a partner, I establish a relationship of trust”, declared the president during the meeting with ministers in Granja do Torto.
Lula also called on his ministers to participate in a symbolic event on the occasion of January 8. This would be a way of contrasting the democratic commitment of his government compared to its opponents.
