The defense of Alexandre Furmanovich, the ex-husband of Letícia Birkheuer, decided to comment on the controversial custody of the ex-couple’s son. After the boy João Guilherme published a video denouncing his mother, the case had repercussions on social networks.
In view of recent events, Alexandre’s lawyers claim that he has had legal custody of his son for three years and that the decision was taken after a “rigorous technical analysis”.
Regarding Letícia Birkheuer’s complaints about parental alienation, the defense says the story doesn’t hold water.
“João Guilherme is a young man of above-average maturity and intelligence, as attested by experts, and he has the discernment to express his own wishes and discontents,” the statement said.

The serious attack reported on video by Letícia Birkheuer’s son
The text also says that João Guilherme recorded the controversial video, in which he explodes his mother, of his own free will. In the video, the teen says he is tired of his mother’s exposure on Instagram.
“I’ve talked to her about it, but she doesn’t listen. She keeps using me as an object to get an engagement. Honestly, I’m sick of it.”
Additionally, the boy cites an alleged assault that took place the last time he visited his mother, in Rio de Janeiro, and says he no longer intends to see her. In the note sent to Metropoliseshis father’s defense corroborates this thought. “Adolescent burnout is real and results from misuse of their image for media purposes. »
What Letícia Birkheuer claims
- The actress refuted the accusations made by the teenager himself, saying the statements contained “untruths.”
- On social media, Letícia said the family conflict began several years ago, after a car accident involving her son and her ex-husband.
- According to her, Alexandre had omitted from the police report that João was in the vehicle at the time of the overturn. According to the actress, it was this episode that sparked the legal dispute between the two men over custody of their son.
- After this situation, the boy began to show changes in behavior, with more aggressive attitudes and disobedience, while he was still living with her.
- Faced with this scenario, Letícia said she accepted an agreement for her son to live with his father for ten months.
- However, during a final visit, Letícia’s son claims to have been assaulted by a nurse hired by her. The actress claims that the professional was present on the basis of a psychiatric report and only detained the teenager after he left the house running towards a busy avenue.
- Since then, João began refusing visits to Rio de Janeiro and his mother’s home, even by court order.
The actress also complains about her son’s estrangement, saying she hasn’t seen him for a long time and has lost contact with the teenager, even through his cell phone. Faced with the accusation, Alexandre’s lawyers assure that she had opportunities, but that she did not take advantage of them.
“Regarding the criticisms of the visitation regime, the Defense specifies that the possible changes occurred for reasons of force majeure and were duly resolved before the Court. In the episodes of poor health of the minor, proven by hospital records which prevented travel between states, the mother chose not to go to the city of residence of her son to visit him”, indicates the text.
THE Metropolises contacted Letícia Birkheuer directly to talk about the matter, but the actress did not respond until the report was published. The space remains open.
