
The digitalization process of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) offers “gigantic” opportunities for the payments sector in Brazil. The assessment is conducted by Raj Seshadri, Head of Business-to-Business (B2B) Payments and Member of the Board of Directors at Mastercard. Even with the emergence of other means, including Pix, she claims that the card industry maintains its advantages, because a large part of the transactions are tokenized and, therefore, it is possible to obtain a very rich data set, integrating the flows with other areas of business management.
