Thanks to the joint work of La Esquina de El Caserito and Giulietta, the end of the year gets a special touch. Although each brand has its own identity, both share processes, decisions and the same production manager: Débora Manaut, who is responsible for ensuring that the products that come to the Christmas table – and the ice cream sundaes – maintain the quality that characterizes them.
In an interview with Gourmet, Débora explained that all Giulietta harvests are produced at the El Caserito production center. This is where, for example, sweet bread ice cream is created, one of the most anticipated flavors of the year, made from the house’s homemade sweet bread: a traditional Italian dish full of fruits and nuts. “This sweet bread is our pride,” he says, adding with a laugh: “And we also make the best crumb sandwiches in town.”
THE FESTIVE TABLE OF EL CASERITO
For these holidays, La Esquina de El Caserito presents two proposals designed to regulate family and work meetings without giving up the homemade taste that characterizes the brand.
The first is La Gran Mesa, a ten-person option that includes finger-sized triple specials, country rolls with prosciutto, cheese, tomatoes and basil, Parisian chicken rolls, savory rolls, meat empanadas and meat skewers. As a Christmas gesture, there is a gift of sweet bread with chocolate chips; Its value is $95,000.
The second proposal is “New Year’s Eve Toast”, a smaller format that brings together twelve savory sandwiches, twelve crumb sandwiches – a house specialty – and a kilo of sweet bread with chocolate chips, ideal for ending the evening without complications. All for $60,000.
Orders for Christmas must be received by December 23rd at 12 p.m. and will be delivered by December 24th at 3 p.m. For New Year’s Eve, orders will be accepted until the 30th and shipping will be made by the 31st at 3:00 p.m. The brand also expects an important news: the opening of a new location in City Bell, at Camino General Belgrano and 476, scheduled for next week.
GIULIETTA, SUMMER IN THE FORM OF GELATO
From its location at 18 and Diagonal 73 and its place on Paseo Miter in Gorina, Giulietta presents its own selection of festive flavors. “December awakens aromas that tell stories,” says the brand, and this idea is translated into a series of proposals that combine memory, Italian technique and an emotional touch.
Highlights include the Torta Almendrada with caramelized almonds and pralines; the Panettone Pistacchio, an Italian panettone with pistachio ganache, chocolate and roasted pistachios; and the Panettone Classico, which adds semisweet chocolate and candied oranges. Added to this are two of the most anticipated flavors of the month: Almond Gelato and Sweet Bread Gelato, made with El Caserito artisan sweet bread.
Giulietta is also expanding its summer offerings with options that can be enjoyed at any time: Frappuccino gelato, Dubau chocolate ice cream, ice cream-filled cannolis and a line of frozen pastries that include Alfa Romeo (chocolate chip) and Julieta (red velvet) cookies, tiramisu and frozen cheesecake.
Orders can be placed in stores or via WhatsApp, with delivery by the 23rd at Christmas and the 30th at New Year.
An alliance that can be felt in every bite
In both La Esquina de El Caserito and Giulietta, the artisan spirit is carried by the same production center, by the same look at the product and by the same search: to offer flavors that accompany celebratory moments. The connection between bakery and ice cream parlor is not just logistical; It’s also narrative. What is produced in the production center changes, travels, reinvents itself and reappears in the form of sweet bread, ice cream or frozen pastries, always with the same quality requirements.
“There is a lot of love in what we do,” says Débora before saying goodbye. And perhaps that is the key: to develop proposals that bring people to the table and that preserve a little of the shared history of two brands that, although different, beat to the same rhythm.
