Resident Evil RequiemThe new main part of the saga will be released on February 27, 2026 as part of the series’ 30th anniversary. Capcom presented it in the Summer Games Festival 2025 and confirmed its start for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC And Nintendo Switch 2. The game combines classic survival horror elements with newer ideas, such as the ability to switch between first and third person and deeper use of the RE Engine.

Set in 2028, the story follows Grace Ashcroft, an FBI analyst tasked with investigating a strange death in an abandoned hotel. The case forces her to return to the place where her mother, Alyssa Ashcroft, a survivor of the Raccoon City incident, died. What begins as an isolated investigation eventually intertwines with ancient secrets and the aftermath of the eruption that destroyed the city in 1998.
Resident Evil Requiem Relies on a darker environment and mechanics that allow for detailed exploration, puzzles and resource management. There will be completely dark areas where the player cannot interact without a light source and scenarios created with the latest version of the game engine. Capcom.
