The Government of Castile-La Mancha will award for the year 2026 a total of 10.4 million euros for emergency social assistance, which will affect around 12,000 people with the aim of covering basic needs or … adapt housing in emergency situations for vulnerable people, among others.
This was announced by the spokesperson for the regional government, Esther Padilla, this Wednesday, during the press conference where she reported on the issues addressed in the Board of Directors.
Most of the budget goes to basic needs as food or supplies, with a quantity of more than 10 million euros. Once a report has been established which proves the vulnerability of the family, its difficulty in making its payments and in being part of a complete itinerary of social intervention, The assistance will be resolved within an average time of 14 days or even 5 if it is very urgent.
The maximum amounts of this aid in the modality of the basic social emergency is around 7,200 euros per year; in the case of housing actions of 10,800 euros per year and, if so an accident, up to 21,600 euros.
This aid is of a subsidiary nature and They are complementary to others, such as the thermal social bonus or the minimum subsistence income.
Help for large families
Likewise, the regional government renewed the call for aid to large families for the year 2026for a total amount of 7.6 million euros. The amount established is the same as the previous year, from 15 to 28.75 euros per child, depending on the number of children and circumstances.
Help has a validity of two yearsinitiallywhich can be renewed after this period. These will affect around 12,000 families in the region and will aim to make their daily lives easier.
Padilla said they are already working on implementing the digital title for all members of the large family, in which they already work from the Department of Social Protection.
