
The governor of Santander, Juvenal Díaz, condemned the explosive attack on the military base 27 in Aguachica, in the department of Cesar, in which six soldiers were killed and seven injured.
In his statement, Díaz expressed his opinion expressed solidarity with the families of the victims and reiterated his support for Governor Cesar after the attack.

The president described the incident as a criminal act and stressed the importance of institutional unity in the face of the situation.
“I strongly condemn the attack in Aguachica. We accompany the families of the murdered soldiers and the wounded“said Díaz, emphasizing the need for a government response to ensure security in the region.
“I demand the full force of the state against those who attack our public armed forces and the security of the country,” Díaz concluded his message.
The attack occurred on the night of Thursday, December 18, 2025, when the military base 27, attached to the 14th Infantry Battalion, located in the village of El Juncal, in the judicial district of Aguachica, was the target of a terrorist attack using explosive devices.

According to preliminary data from the Second Division of the National Army, four soldiers died and seven others were injured, who were evacuated to medical centers in the region.
