Anyone who sees the Haojue DL 160 may even think that it is a large-displacement model, given its imposing size. With final assembly in Manaus, the bike has been imported from China by the João Toledo group since May. In the Asian market, it is sold under the Suzuki name.
With an adventurous style, it costs from R$21,470. With ABS (a system that prevents the wheels from locking during emergency braking), the price rises to R$22,260.
The raised suspension works well with the small 17-inch wheels. However, instead of being equipped with mixed tires, as in China, the DL 160 offers a sportier package here. The choice is good on bad asphalt and in curves.
Little Haojue practically ignores obstacles like speed bumps. Its high handlebars, reminiscent of trail or cross category bikes, contribute to this. The digital dashboard is very comprehensive, while the wide seat provides everyday comfort. The power of the LED headlight is also nice.
With a power of 14.9 hp and 1.4 kgfm of maximum torque, the Haojue behaves well in urban use. However, when driving on avenues and highways, it feels a little lacking in performance.
The five-speed gearbox has short ratios, which increases the feeling of vibration. This feature is annoying during prolonged driving at speeds above 90 km/h.
The arrow system with a loud sound alert attracts attention. According to a reseller of the brand, the electrical “whistle” relay is normally removed at the first check, following customer requests.
The Haojue handles like a superior motorcycle and, even for that reason, you want more in terms of road performance.
In Asia, there is the 250 version (25 hp), sold under the name Suzuki V-Strom. When questioned, the brand neither confirmed nor ruled out its introduction to our market. In any case, the “DLzinha” proved to be an effective option for daily driving.
