The federal police did that this Thursday Proceedings in various national government agencies to search for information about Pilar’s villa attributed to the treasurer of the Argentine Football Association (AFA), Pablo Tovigginoby frontmen.
Judicial sources informed Clarion that these were subpoena orders ordered by the commercial criminal judge Marcelo Aguinsky in the country’s Insurance Supervision, in the country’s Communications Secretariat, in the country’s Transport Secretariat and in various national registers
The magistrate asked all of these organizations for information on Monday about the property, the 54 luxury and collector vehicles confiscated on site and who appears to be their owner –Luciano Pantano and his retired mother Ana Lucía Conte-. But given the delay in response, Aguinsky ordered the operations.
It is expected that the federal police will forward all documents obtained in the proceedings to the court on Friday. The action was taken after the court considered that authorities were delaying in responding to information.
Therefore, the judge ordered production orders to release the information to him. Otherwise, the federal police were authorized to search the locations, but this did not happen.
Aguinsky has been involved in the case since Monday and has ordered evidentiary measures. This includes reporting to the National Insurance Superintendency the policies of the hijacked vehicles and their contracting; to Automotive Property records about which people have a blue card to drive them; to the Ministry of Communications, including who used internet and cable services.
The case investigates alleged money laundering in the purchase of the house under suspicion that the real owner may be Toviggino, a confidant of the president of the AFA. Claudio “Chiqui” Tapia. The property is listed under the name “Real Central SRL,” a company owned by Pantano, the former leader of the AFA, and his retired mother, both Monotributistas. The cars that were in a warehouse there also bore his name. However, none of them have the stated economic ability to obtain these assets.
The 105,384.80 square meter property, which includes farms, a helipad and several sports facilities of various types, was searched last week, preventive seizure ordered and 54 collector and luxury vehicles confiscated. The judiciary is waiting for confirmation that the blue cards for driving these cars are in the name of Toviggino.
Elements were also found in the house that directly link it to Toviggino. Federal police confiscated a bag with the AFA logo and Toviggino’s name, as well as a plaque dedicated to the treasurer from the Barracas Central club in Tapia.
Along with the evidentiary measures, Judge Aguinsky lifted the summary secrecy of the case and ordered Pantano and Conte to make a statement regarding the allegations against them: “They may appear before these courts to formulate the statements and derive the defenses they deem appropriate.”
