The president of Junta of Andalusia, Juanma Morenoannounced late this morning that the Ministry of Health, Presidency and Emergencies has just reached an agreement with health unions to improve the professional integration system … at the Andalusian Health Service (SAS).
In a message on the social network “X”, the president stressed that this is a “long-awaited step forward” and that “we have reached an agreement, unanimously, with the unions”. Satse, SMA-F (Union Médicale), CSIF, CC.OO. and UGT for a new Stock Market Pact which allows for more agile and transparent recruitment of health personnel. #Andalusia continues to strengthen public health.
On the same social network, the Minister of Health, Antonio Sanzspecified that this agreement “responds to an obvious need after twelve years of complexity and administrative insecurity. “Professionals, centers and citizens win”.

The agreement, of which no details are known for the moment, aims to grease the machinery of the work of SASwhich has more than 120,000 workers, and at the discretion of Andalusian government to respond to a request from healthcare and hospital managers.
It should be remembered that district and health center officials complained to Juanma Moreno and Antonio Sanz after the outbreak of the breast cancer screening crisis that they encountered many difficulties in recruiting new professionals, because the hiring system, according to them, was too rigid.
1,200 new doctors
The regional government announced last October that it would recruit 4,371 health professionals to strengthen the public system in its profound remodeling process. In addition, 2,292 of these workers will join it soon, before the end of 2025.
Among them, 1,200 will be doctors, with the aim of strengthening health care, expanding the capacity of the centers and consolidating new services of maximum importance for the population.
