The action will take place in blocks numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 of Avenida de la Guardia Civil and Fray Luis de León Street, and will have an estimated duration of ten months of execution once the contract has been awarded.
This promotion of 90 housing unitsproperty of the Junta de Andalucía, will be subject to various interventions on the facades, roofs, exterior carpentry, sanitation systems and common areas. The work will be completed by improving adjacent public spaces, which will have shaded rest areas.
THE development advisorRocío Díaz, highlighted the importance of the rehabilitation planned in the Francisco de Quevedo neighborhood, whose buildings were in a state of deterioration, generated by the passage of time and the lack of public investment. “The Government of Andalusia has worked to renew these disadvantaged urban areaswith the aim of offering a more comfortable life to the families who live in these social housing”, he declared. To achieve this, the Andalusian Government will improve the state of conservation of the buildings, their conditions of accessibility, as well as their environmental quality.
This action in Puente Genil is considered an operation of strategic importance and will be financed by the Council with charge At Feder Andalusia Program 2021-2027intended for the renewal, rehabilitation and regeneration of urban areas integrated into the Andalusian Regional Strategy for Cohesion and Social Inclusion (Eracis).

The works include different interventionsmainly, in the constructive elements of the facades, with the installation of an exterior thermal insulation system (SATE). The project involves the improvement of the sloping roofs, where they will be cleaned and tiles in poor condition replaced, also incorporating a thermal insulation system in this area to optimize the energy consumption of the houses. Likewise, the renovation of gutters and downspouts is planned.
With this rehabilitation, the replacement of hatches giving access to the roofs and translucent skylights located in the buildings will also be carried out.
