Gino Ferrari, 22, arrived hidden in the back seat of his father’s car near his mother’s house in the town of Villa Nueva, Córdoba. His father, who was separated from the woman, not only took him there with a clear intention, but also gave him a copy of the keys so that the young man could enter the house. In justice, the son surprised the mother, attacked her with punches and stabbed the victim as she lay defenseless on the ground.
Such a plan, carried out with extreme violence, had a reason: Keep real estate and inheritance funds that belonged to the woman.
After a popular jury trial that ended days ago in the USA Villa María dishesThe local criminal and correctional chamber declared Gino the perpetrator of the crime “Murder based on commitment, betrayal, greed and mediation of gender-based violence” to the detriment of Natalia Rosa Mariani (46).
In the same verdict, the victim’s ex-husband and father of the young man, Hernán Ferrari (57), was convicted as a “necessary participant” in the same crime. And both, the court composed of the chambermaids Edith Lezama de Pereyra, Eve Flores de Aiuto and Félix Alejandro Martínez, were sentenced to life imprisonment.
According to the verdict, both defendants planned the crime “Motivated by greed” and the young man “attacked his mother with punches that caused her to fall unconscious to the floor.”
“Thentaking advantage of the victim’s defenseless condition – a circumstance that made it possible to assume treason – the defendant carried out the attack with a kitchen knife and a meat cleaver. “He caused multiple stab wounds to the neck, which resulted in his death from hypovolemic shock,” the maids said.
For the jury, the perpetrator then stole a sum of money to simulate a robbery, after which he left the house and fled in the same car in which his father was waiting for him.
Finally, the murderer’s father went to the bakery he owned and got into the back of the car so his son could get out unnoticed.
The Chamber also found that Hernán Ferrari with a manipulative profilemade her children despise their mother and use her as a “bank” from whom they only asked for money.
On Friday December 29, 2023Natalia missed work at a clothing store in the center of Villa María. Her absence surprised her classmates, who went looking for her to see if she was okay. But when they reached the house, they found her dead, face down in a pool of blood.
The prosecutor of that city, René Bosio, began investigating the murder, initially stating that it was a “difficult” case.
According to the autopsy, Natalia died from multiple cuts to her neck. There were at least six, one of them very deep. He also suffered a blow to the face.
The coroner, in turn, determined the date of death to be between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, approximately 14 hours before the body was found.
And the experts found two knives at the crime scene.
Natalia lived at 1080 9 de Julio, where she had moved after separating from Hernán, with whom she had two sons, Gino, and a then 17-year-old daughter.
Father and son lived three blocks away and ran a bakery there.
The arrest of the now convict came ten days after the crime, after investigators from the San Martín department’s investigation department, together with employees of the Criminal Investigation Department’s Directorate of Operational Investigations (DIO), analyzed almost 1,000 hours of footage from around 30 security cameras in the neighborhood where the woman lived, as well as the messages and calls exchanged between the two men.
