The Living Crèche of the Diocese of Malaga celebrates its eleventh edition with a historic renovation. The representation, which transforms the Diocesan House into 1st century Judea, will come to life thanks to the bet of 300 children and, as a great novelty, firsts … at night and extends its opening to the public to two days.
This initiative, promoted by the diocese, the Victoria Foundation, Casa Diocesana, ORP and Arquitectura de Guardia, will open its doors free of charge on Friday the 19th December, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and Saturday 20 December, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This new format will allow the inhabitants of Malaga to enjoy, for the first time, a “unprecedented vision“of the birth at dusk.
The performance, which last year brought together more than 4,200 visitorsdoubled its cast. The 150 students of the Padre Jacobo Diocesan School, veterans of this stage, are joined this year for the first time by 150 other students of the Cardenal Herrera Oria Diocesan School. Together, the 300 miners will recreate the different scenes and mysteries of the Nativity of the Lord, guiding participants through the Gospel passages.

Beyond the historical reconstruction, the Diocesan House will become a meeting point family reunion. The place will have a children’s area with inflatable castles and a gastronomic offer at popular prices managed by the AMPA of Cardinal Herrera Oria. The Christmas atmosphere will be completed by the performances of the Pastorale de Santo Domingo and the Pastorale Son de Málaga.

Likewise, a Christmas market with local artisans and producers, whose participation requires a donation of 50 euros intended for the projects of the Social Resources Council of the Victoria Foundation.
