The Civil Guard arrested three people in the town of Benicàssim in Castellón as suspected perpetrators of a rI blew hard in a hotel, including nearly 15,000 euros in cash, lottery tickets, … Primitiva, a watch and some money.
As Benemérita reports, the alleged perpetrators forced the door of the hotel office, located in a restricted access area that only the staff knew, a detail that allowed the identification of a former employee of the establishment as the main author of the robbery.
Likewise, the investigation clarified that two of the people involved entered the premises after scaling the perimeter and forcing the office door, while the third carried out driving and surveillance tasks. The main perpetrator turned out to be a former hotel employee, who knew of the existence and whereabouts of the money.
Crime of fraud against an elderly person
On the other hand, the Civil Guard also arrested two people for an alleged crime of scam, committed after stealing an elderly person’s wallet in a supermarket in Benicàssim
According to police sources, the alleged perpetrators took advantage of the victim’s negligence to steal wallet after observing the use of the PIN and then handing over the wallet to a relevant third party. The latter allegedly withdrew 1,000 euros from a local bank before leaving the scene.
After many efforts, it was possible to locate the two detainees in the city of Barcelona, while they were apparently trying leave the country, proceed with his arrest thanks to coordination between the different units. Likewise, the exchange of information made it possible to identify a third woman linked to the events.
The actions were carried out in the first action by the Main Station of Benicàssim and in the second by members of the Main Station of Benicàssim, in collaboration with the Judicial Police of the Civil Guard of Barcelona and the Local Police of Benicàssim.
