Want to experience the harvest? Vinícola Maturano, in Teresópolis, will open its doors next Sunday for the summer harvest. In the experiment, the Chardonnay grapes will be harvested, on the Montebello terroir, in the mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro. The grape variety will be used in the production of the brand’s sparkling wines.

— The harvest is the moment when we can translate, in a very concrete way, what we believe in like the philosophy of Maturano. It is a direct encounter with the terroir, with the family and with the gestures that create each wine. More than a celebration of the harvest, it is an experience of deep understanding of our way of doing things — reveals his partner Manuela Maturano.

The program promises a sensory immersion in the land, on the table and in the landscape. The public will be able to experience different moments that reflect the way Maturano understands wine as an expression of place, time and choice.
The program will begin with a welcome coffee, followed by a visit to an exclusive area of the Montebello vineyard, which has not yet been opened to the public. This is where the summer harvest will take place in the presence of the Maturano family, who will share information about the cultivation, the harvest process and the characteristics of the soil.
Participants will also discover the sparkling wine project that will be produced in the Serra Fluminense, from summer harvests, as is the case in the south of the country. The other Maturano wines come from the winter harvest.

The project is located in Teresópolis, in the mountainous region
Back at the winery’s headquarters, guests will participate in the launch of the harmonized summer lunch, a three-course closed menu. The harmonized menu will include two options, with dishes specially created to interact with the house’s three labels: Sauvignon Blanc, Rosé and Tinto Maturano. The day will end with a sunset to the sound of the saxophone on the terrace.
The price is R$1,190 per person and includes:
- Welcome coffee;
- Transportation between the head office and the Montebello vineyard;
- Harmonized lunch (three-portion menu);
- Sunset with live music (saxophone);
- A hat and a glass per person.
