
The mayor of Almussafes and provincial deputy secretary of the PSPV-PSOE of Valencia, Toni González, announced on Saturday his resignation from “all organic positions” of the PSPV and requested his suspension of his membership in the PSOE, but He will continue as advisor to the mixed group.

He also declared that he would continue to work at the town hall of the municipal joint group “run local government and make the project that the residents of Almussafes overwhelmingly supported during the elections a reality.
This Friday, González said it was “absolutely false that he harassed anyone at work or sexually” and that this is part of a campaign led by his political rivals, both inside and outside the PSPV-PSOE.
Likewise, he announced that he would not stop “until proven, wherever necessary and at all costs”, his innocence.
Toni González has been Mayor of Almussafes since 2015 and is also Minister of Industry and Employment; At the organic level, it is part of the Provincial Executive of Valencia, which directs Carlos Fernández Bielsasince last April, and is one of four vice-secretaries, specifically responsible for the area of institutional policies and territorial coordination.

The party demands his resignation
For its part, the PSPV-PSOE leadership asked González to submit your advisor certificate and addressed the federal leadership of the PSOE to request the constitution of a director in the municipal group.
