A survey carried out by Sandvika global engineering company, highlighted that 40% of young students and recent graduates in the STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) field are unfamiliar with the mining sector. However, 90% say they would consider pursuing a career in this field as they begin to understand mining’s role in combating climate change and the transition to clean energy.. A total of 824 people from nine countries were interviewed.
