Seville yesterday experienced one of the biggest accidents of the year, about to end a year 2025 marked by a high accident rateespecially in this final stretch after the recent death of three motorcyclists. The whole city put the magnifying glass … in Nervión yesterday at noon after a Tussam bus invaded the opposite lane of Calle José María Moreno Galván, presumably from Luis Montoto, and ended up crashing the moving vehicle with passengers inside against a company in which they were also five other peopleand no less in the cars he encountered on his way, which he rammed until they were stopped. Twelve injured, none of them seriously, and thirteen cars, such is the final toll of an episode which could have been the tragedy of the year.
It was only 11:44 a.m. when Tussam’s official account implicitly offered the first hint of an event that, fortunately, was not going to happen again because there were no casualties: “Lines 21, 24 and 27 are diverted in La Florida and in the first section of Luis Montoto,” they said. This was the case after a serious accident involving one of their buses mid-morning, on the 21st precisely, although it is not known whether it was leaving from the Plaza de Armas. to the industrial zone of San Pabloor followed the opposite path, a question that is still under study.

The Tussam bus invaded the opposite lane
At the edge of morning they began to arrive the first alarm bells aware of the existence of this serious accident in which the aforementioned Tussam bus and several passenger cars were involved, including a taxi, as well as a transport truck, which bore the logo of the Lanjarón brand, and which had been left in very poor condition in the middle of the road, like all the cars affected. A few minutes after the first warnings, little by little, the enigma of everything that happened became clearer.
A very relevant representation of all possible bodies moved on site. There were firefighters, local police, national police, civil protection, health workers, at least three ambulances and even members of Cecop. one of the largest deployments who are remembered in terms of security in the capital, because there were sometimes fears that minor injuries could have become serious within a few minutes. None of this, the photograph of the crashed bus without having yet been removed from the hairdressing salon was in hindsight a feeling of astonishment but also of relief, at least because no one had been seriously injured.
Many members of the local police and firefighters gathered yesterday on José María Moreno Galván Street after the accident.
A possible fainting of the bus driver
According to hypotheses, the driver of the Tussam, 62 years old, had felt unwell seconds before crashing the vehicle into a hairdressing salon, but not before hitting the bus left and right with up to thirteen cars before, injuring twelve people on the way, ending up driving the bus into a hairdressing salon in Seville: it was Luiton, located on José María Moreno Galván street, in the Nervión neighborhood, where its director, María Luisa, as well as her daughter María, worked at at the time, serving three customers, who heard from inside how the bus had entered the other lane, going against the flow, and collided with all the oncoming traffic and ended up shattering the metal shutter of the business.
“I heard very strange, very strange noises before the bus crashed,” María told this newspaper as she and the four remaining women waited. in good condition but with terrible fear so that the firefighters could eagerly unlock the door, loaded on the entire front part of the bus, which destroyed the company inside and out, and also because of several passenger cars that Tussam himself moved with unassailable force. “There are five of us here and the firefighters are doing maneuvers to get us out,” María repeated on the other end of the phone.
The scene outside the barbershop was also devastating due to the number of cars affected and the general confusion. The paramedics continued to provide assistance and transport the injured, all minors, including the driver of Tussam himself, who was referred to the Virgen Macarena Hospital and from where he left late in the afternoon, and after attending to everyone involved, the five women trapped in the hair salon were extracted. The firefighters acted diligently to get them out safely, while waiting to clarify in the course of the investigation what had happened to the driver and which almost ended in tragedy. At 12:04 p.m., Tussam reported that all three lines, from Luis Montoto, had been normalized. It’s only 1:40 p.m. that the women trapped in the hair salon were freed.
One of the witnesses, very close to the serious accident, recounts how the car in which she was traveling as co-pilot avoided, not without reflexes, the rear of the transport truck which had been thrown by another collision with the bus itself. “If we don’t deviate, we won’t tell,” this woman assured the medium. The action was so fast that neither she nor the person driving even had time to see the bus accident. for all the chaos sown in seconds. “We still have fear in our body,” he says. A phrase that could well be coined for all those who returned home unscathed, on the eve of Christmas Eve, calling what happened a miracle. Mostly because of what could have happened.
