With a favorable exchange rate for Argentines, Brazilian beaches have become among the favorite summer destinations. La Nación has listed the most popular sites on the coast, separating them by price range and types of tours.

According to the publication, accommodation in Brazil is expected to be more affordable for the Argentinean budget than national destinations, since the real value, as well as competitiveness in accommodation and consumption, keeps prices of supermarkets and meals at very attractive levels, taking into account also the wide air connectivity.
The reference ranged from beaches in the south, such as Florianópolis, and classic beaches such as Rio and Buzios, to destinations further north-east, such as Recife or Maceió.
– We registered strong interest in summer 2026, especially regarding destinations in Brazil. In recent weeks, searches for flights between January and February next year have increased by 35% compared to the same period in 2025. Among the most popular places, the following stand out: Maceió, which grew by 75%; Buzios 40%; São Paulo, 35%; “Rio de Janeiro 25%, Florianópolis 15%,” Laura Amoros, senior marketing manager at Despegar Argentina, told La Nación.
According to Amoros, the average duration of flights for the upcoming summer season is 9 days, showing slight growth compared to the previous year. As for the products that Argentines prefer, the packages top the rankings, as they allow you to save up to 30% compared to purchasing flights and accommodation separately.
According to Atrapalo Argentina, the most popular beaches this season, in addition to those already mentioned, are: Pipa, Porto de Galinhas, Natal, Recife, Salvador, Maragogi and Morro de São Paulo.
– Compared to 2024, there is a 150% increase in bookings in Brazil, strengthening its position as one of the favorite summer destinations. Juan Manuel Arias Camps, commercial director at the agency, said the second half of January remains the period with the greatest demand and inquiries.

Locations in “Four Cities of Dreams”
Direct flights between Argentina and Brazil play an essential role in connectivity and increasing tourism in different cities in the region. The 2026 season is characterized by a strong expansion of routes from within Argentina, facilitating quick and convenient access to the most popular locations in the footballing country.
In addition to the usual direct flights to Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Florianópolis, Salvador, Porto Seguro, Maceio, Recife, Natal, Fortaleza, Porto Alegre and Curitiba, this trend is reflected in the opening of important seasonal air routes:
- Departing from Rosario, Aerolíneas Argentinas will add direct flights to Buzios and Cabo Frio;
- Leaving Cordoba, Flybondi will connect with Rio, Florianópolis and Salvador;
- Departing from Mendoza, direct flights to Rio are expected to be operated by Jetsmart and Gol;
- When leaving Salta, there will be a direct connection with Florianópolis.
See below an overview of some of the most requested beaches by Argentines in the 2026 season:
Favorite destinations and their magic
With its usual charm, Rio de Janeiro invites you to enjoy the sun along its 86 km of coastline, from Flamengo to Barra da Tijuca, Guaratiba and beyond. It’s impossible not to be impressed by the landscape of Guanabara Bay, surrounded by hills covered in Atlantic forest, Corcovado, Christ the Redeemer, and Sugarloaf Mountain.
One option for immersing yourself in the local culture is the Alternative Carnival Experience Tour, which offers a “behind the scenes” visit to Cidade de Samba, where the main schools assemble the floats and costumes. For gastronomic exploration, snacks can be found priced between R$20 and R$50; Caipirinhas are around R$30 and main dishes between R$60 and R$190.
After Rio, Florianópolis, a direct two-hour flight from Buenos Aires and about 1,700 kilometers by road, remains a favorite destination for Argentines. The city expects a record number of tourists in 2026, combining beaches, strong nightlife (Jurerê, Lagoa da Conceição), water sports and rich cuisine. There will be additional direct flights from Salta and Tucuman.
Just 180 km from Rio, Buzios has established itself as a destination of charm and good value for money. The big news is that direct flights to Cabo Frio from Buenos Aires and Rosario have been enhanced, making the area easier to access.
Maceo appears as the northeast star of 2026, with warm and calm waters. The main new feature is the direct Flybondi flight from Buenos Aires. Urban beaches such as Ponta Verde, Pajusara and Jatiuca are major tourist attractions. Trips to Maragogi and Praia do Gunga are among the most popular.
The newspaper also highlighted that flight tickets to Rio or Florianópolis range between US$500 and US$700 (January 2026), and companies such as Aerolíneas Argentinas, Jetsmart, Flybondi, Latam and Gol operate direct flights.
