The GDF postponed the official launch of the Nosso Natal 2025 program, initially scheduled for this Monday (12/8), due to the heavy rains that hit Brasilia. The new date set is Wednesday December 10.
According to Governor Ibaneis Rocha (MDB-DF), the condition of the lawn at the event site has been compromised after the period of climatic instability. The traffic of trucks during the installation of the work worsened the situation, leaving the land unsuitable for reception by the public.
“I had to postpone the Christmas launch. The pitch couldn’t hold up. We’re going to have to cover it. I’m rescheduling it for the 10th,” Ibaneis said.
He stressed that he prefers to guarantee better conditions of access to the public before the event takes place: “As trucks had to circulate, it was very bad. I preferred to postpone it”, he declared.
To recover the area, the governor ordered Novacap to work over the next two days on restructuring the space.
Our Christmas 2025
Although the official opening ceremony of the Christmas Village was postponed for two days, the attraction’s doors were opened on Monday evening (12/8), welcoming the public.
The program, which includes shows, workshops, Santa’s house and toys, runs until January 4.
The event also includes a Santa Claus House, a carousel, an ice rink, a Ferris wheel, shows and a small train. Queues close at 10 p.m. and there will be no activities on December 24 and 31.

Traffic changes
On routes N1 and S1, from 8 to 14/12 and from 22 to 28/12, from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., some modifications will be put in place, such as temporary signage, a zone reserved for vehicles and assistance for pedestrians.
In the two lanes close to the central reservation of the Esplanada, there will be an area reserved for parking.
In front of the Republic Cultural Complex, in the right lane, cones will be positioned to prevent illegal parking.
Visitors who wish to take a taxi or application vehicle are recommended to get off at the parking lot near the Sesi Lab.
