The rapporteur of PL Antifaction in the Senate, Alessandro Vieira (MDB-SE)should strengthen the autonomous role of the State Police in relation to the Federal Police (PF), in addition to the vote which will be published this Tuesday (9). The text must be voted on by the Constitution and Justice Committee (CCJ) of the House this Wednesday (10).
“We are refining the questions related to integration so that there is no doubt about how each actor will have to participate in this process. And also to avoid erroneous interpretations according to which there would be, for example, subordination to the Federal Police,” Vieira told Value.
According to the senator, he will specify that the PF only has an “administrative coordination” role, and nothing more. In the latest report, the PF is responsible for coordinating international operations, more precisely “coordination between national and foreign institutions involved” in the case.
“The text already clearly said no, but, taking into account certain concerns, it will clarify even more clearly that the function of the Federal Police is not that of integrated forces, but that of administrative coordination and not of coordination of police or ministerial work, in the case of the Public Prosecutor’s Office”, he stressed.
The central points of the project, for their part, will not change, according to the rapporteur. Regarding the seized goods and money, Vieira will continue to condition the distribution of resources to the judicial sphere where the criminal action is handled.
