The work project includes the demolition of interior partitions of homes and its reconstruction in accordance with the solutions established in the technical regulations in force for protected housing from Andalusia. The accommodations will have three bedrooms, a living-dining room and two bathrooms, with the exception of accommodation for people with reduced mobility.
The works to be contracted will have various interventions on facades, roofs, sanitary, distribution and electricity installationsas well as other improvements to common areas; as well as the installation of an elevator which will guarantee people, particularly people with reduced mobility, access to their homes independently and in complete safety.
“This important intervention will offer the neighborhood 30 new social housing units, which will be allocated to families who really need it», added the advisor, stressing that this work was 85 percent financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) It joins other actions such as the rehabilitation of an 80-unit building in Complex Two and the provision of sports facilities next to the park known as Vacío Central.
“We will allocate a global investment of more than 13 million euroswith the aim of improving the future and social cohesion of this Sevillian neighborhood”, underlined the councilor, who visited the area on July 15 with the mayor, José Luis Sanz, to report on the works planned by his department, amounting to 13 million, for the regeneration of the Martínez Montañés neighborhood; while the City Hall plans actions worth eight million.
