The decree does not modify the existing rules of the Vai de Graça program. On Sunday, public transport remains free all day.
The same goes for the public holidays of December 25 (Christmas) and January 1 (Universal Celebration), where buses and metros are also free at all times.
The decree comes into force on the date of its publication and was signed after the judicial release of the notice of demonstration, which had been suspended last week by first instance decision.
