The NGO Turma do Bem is organizing this Monday (8) the award ceremony for the best dentist in the world, at the Teatro São Pedro, in São Paulo. This award recognizes professionals who have distinguished themselves through their social actions in the communities where they work. The event starts at 7 p.m.
14 dentists from different states across the country are competing for the title. According to Fábio Bibancos, president of the institution, among the actions carried out by the finalists are a partnership with public authorities to offer assistance to women victims of violence and obtaining free space on billboards in the city to promote the NGO and collect donations.
“This event values volunteer work and highlights the fact that we have many kind and good Brazilians. People who leave the office and carry out social transformations, who face and become aware of inequalities,” says Fábio.
The event is open to the public. Those interested in volunteering for Turma do Bem can register on the institution’s website.
