The delegate of Sports and Civil Protection of the Provincial Delegation of Córdoba, Antonio Martín, presented the budget of the different areas that make up his Delegation, “accounts that meet the commitment of this institution with sport and the Provincial Firefighters Consortium.
Martín focused first of all on the budget of the Provincial Consortium for the Prevention and Extinguishment of Fires, of which he stated that “for 2026 they reach a total of 26,137,490 euros, which represents 19.91% more than in 2025, a relevant allocation that allows us maintain quality of an essential public service.
“We are talking about the most important budgetary allocation that this Provincial Council allocates to the Consortium and which is the result of great work and faithful commitment to a service that has incalculable human value and which translates into more than 3,000 interventions,” Martín added.
In the investment section, he continued, “in 2026 we will see the complete renovation of Montoro Park completed, with a budget of 1,950,000 euros and we are also committed to energy efficiency and allocation 185,000 euros for the installation of photovoltaic panels.

The also president of the Provincial Fire Prevention and Extinguishing Consortium stressed that “to all this will be added the establishment of the Coordination Room, which with a budget of 488,700 euros will allow better coordination and centralization of actions as well as the management of resources and actions more effective and efficient. »
“On the other hand, it is planned to acquire three supply vehicles which will complete the mobile fleet of the eleven centers distributed throughout the geography of our province”, he underlined.
Regarding the games of Sports areaMartín said that “we have allocated 4,497,630 euros, or 8.22% more than last year, to energize our cities through this necessary lever that is sport.”
What stands out here is “the allocation allocated to our own programs with 468,000 euros, or 225% more than in 2025. This amount allows us to maintain initiatives such as Get active or choose your sportbut also support for provincial grassroots sports and, of course, Córdoba CF,” he clarified.
In the same way, he continued, “we have increased by 4.24% the budget intended for our calls for subsidies and the signing of agreements with town halls and sports entities in the province until reaching 2,937,000 euros. Individual prices (70,000 euros), agreements with entities (575,000 euros) and proposals for support at the highest level (450,000 euros).”
For the head of Sports of the Provincial Council, “of equal importance is the commitment that we maintain with provincial circuits such as popular races, triathlon, motocross, CxM, hiking, rhythmic gymnastics, paddle, cross or BTT, including sporting events are increasing in quality and number of participants.
Martín also spoke of “the commitment to the major sporting events that are on the provincial agenda, such as the Sierra Morena Rally, the Posadas Triathlon, the Pozoblanco and Palma del Río Tennis Open, the Vuelta Ciclista or the Los Pedroches Rural Olympics. Added to all this is our support for initiatives with a greater social component like those we carry out with ACPACYS.
Finally, regarding the Civil protection zone, The manager referred to the fact that “we allocate 246,200 euros, of which 20,400 euros are intended for training volunteers; 175,000 euros for the call for grants and 15,500 euros for the agreement on cybercrime, an agreement which places us at the forefront.
