The PSPV requested a commission of inquiry in Les Corts to clarify what happened to the Dana solidarity money collected by the Vox youth represented in the Revuelta association. This was announced on Tuesday by the mediator of the PSPV of Las Corts, José Muñoz, and the secretary general of Joves Socialistes, Benja Mompó, in statements to the media during which they recalled that “if Vox announced that it was going to go to court, what it must do now is support this investigation and that in the Comunitat Valenciana, where the damage occurred, unacceptable facts are clarified.”
In this sense, the socialist spokesperson of Les Corts, José Muñoz, highlighted that “October 29 was the worst day of their lives for thousands of Valencians but for others it became an opportunity to do business” and explained that “the Popular Party does business with reconstruction and the companies that it financed illegally, and now its partners in Vox are using the solidarity money for other purposes.” In addition, he stressed that “if Pérez Llorca wants to show a change in his way of governing and above all in the facts, he must accept this proposal for a commission of inquiry” and added that “they cannot wash their hands.”
For his part, the deputy and secretary general of Joves Socialistes, Benja Mompó, defended that “these practices do not represent the Valencian youth, it is the extreme right that wants to take advantage of the pain of the victims” and demanded that “each deputy with his vote condemns these events and the organization”: “If they vote no to investigate these donations, the right will once again turn its back on the victims of dana”.
