The Ministry of Development, Territorial Articulation and Housing, through the Housing and Rehabilitation Agency of Andalusia (AVRA), has launched a call for tenders two contracts to carry out work on an electrical substation in the Carmona logistics park (Seville). More specifically, AVRA proposed … the project and the execution of the work, with a budget of 6,189,213 eurosin addition to the technical assistance, project management and work health and safety coordination service, tendered for 198,840 euros.
In a press release, the Minister of Public Works, Rocio Diazhighlighted the investment of Juanma Moreno’s government to strengthen a strategic sector for the Andalusian economy. “The supply of electrical power for the second phase of the Carmona Logistics Park will consolidate this space as an aerospace node in Europe“, underlined Díaz, who believes that this enclave will be “a boost for the Andalusian economy and for the job creation“.
The advisor also reiterated that “the aim of this project promoted by the Andalusian Government is to promote the growth of the economy, the development of the aeronautical industry and the creation of jobs, especially among qualified young people in this sector“.
Through this action, the Development Department will ensure the supply of electricity to second stage of the Partial Plan of the Logistics Park. The contract concerns the development of the project and the execution of the work, with a 20 month term to undertake this work.
The work will be carried out on land belonging to the Company for the Development of Carmona (Sodecar), dependent on the Carmona Town Hall and with which the Andalusian Government works, within a framework of institutional collaboration, to meet the demand for land for aeronautics projects. This cooperation resulted in the signing of several previous agreements which allowed the Andalusian Housing and Rehabilitation Agency to launch a call for tenders for this action.
On the one hand, it was agreed to execute the strengthening, adaptation, adaptation and reform of existing networks by the company in charge of the distribution of electrical energy, E-distribución.
Agreements have also been reached with the rest of the owners for the reorganization of the area’s electrical infrastructureand an agreement was signed for the distribution of the work and costs necessary for the creation of the Logistics Park.
This intervention comes in addition to the allocation, last September, of part of this land in the Carmona Logistics Park to the Swiss company Pilatus Aircraft Ibérica, which will launch a new industrial project that will position Andalusia as a leading region in the manufacturing and assembly of aircraft.
