The “Me Too” of the PSOE advances every day by leaps and bounds. The indignation of the plaintiffs who were victims of harassment by Francisco Salazar lit the fuse that revealed new cases throughout Spain. Four socialist leaders resigned since they started … the scandals affecting politicians from different partisan structures.
The list of victims of the overtaking of women in training began with Francisco Salazar himself. The reason for his departure last July was that “inappropriate behavior”. He resigned from his positions in the PSOE and Moncloa.
The party’s inaction with the complainants led them to raise their voices. A voice that has grown in recent days, traveling across Spain and shaking the socialist headquarters where we find episodes buried for years.
“I don’t know what they did with my complaint”
Another of the proper names to fall was Antonio Navarrothe leader of the socialists of Torremolinos. The PSOE Executive Commission decided to suspend him from his functions after learning of the opening of proceedings by the public prosecutor’s office following a complaint filed by a woman for alleged sexual harassment.
Once again, the lack of decision from the party organs motivated the victim to contact the public prosecutor. “Since July 15, I don’t know what they did with my complaint,” denounced this woman in statements to this media.

The councilor assured ABC that at the Malaga congress in March there had already been “rumors” about her case and she regretted the “delay” of the women’s protection body created by her party.
He resigned without enthusiasm José Tomé in Lugo. He was accused of sexual harassment by six women. He decided to resign from his position as president of the Provincial Council of Lugo and abandoned all his positions within the PSOE. However, he still maintains his record as mayor of Monforte de Lemos. The Secretary for Equality of the PSOE of Galicia has submitted her resignation. It won’t be the last.
The party strongly demanded that he step down as an advisor. THE six testimonies which have been denounced in the internal channel of the PSOE are devastating. Comments, touching, and even offers of public employment in exchange for sex.
The last release of “Me Too” from the PSOE was that of Javier Izquierdo. His name had been in the pipeline for several days. The announcement this Thursday of his resignation from his post within the Socialist Executive sounded the alarm.
A “sloppy” senator
Two senior party officials complained about the behavior “viscous” by Izquierdo. However, he decided not to give up until he saw up close the danger of filing a complaint and being “kicked out”.
In this regard, the organizational secretary of the PSOE, Rebeca Torró, announced the opening “ex officio” an informative case against the senator despite the fact that there are no internal complaints regarding possible sexual harassment.
The last to fall was Francisco Luis Fernández Rodriguezsocialist mayor of Belalcázar (Córdoba). This councilor resigned after the ABC newspaper revealed he had sent inappropriate messages to a council employee. “Will you let me eat it so you can see if it makes me feel better?” was one of those comments.
The constant in all cases is the inner silence from which the victims suffer. Their main criticism is that they were not listened to by the socialist leaders who let complaints pass while harassers continued to act with impunity. This incessant flow of testimonies is accompanied by the resignations of PSOE officials.
