The new Volkswagen Tiguan received the highest score in safety tests carried out by Latin NCAP according to the company’s latest and most demanding protocol.
Like its previous generation, the model received Five stars for protection for adults and childrenand established itself as one of the safest Volkswagen SUVs on the market.
With this result, the Tiguan joins the recently launched Taos and the T-Cross, Nivus and Tera in the group of Volkswagen SUVs that have achieved the highest rating in recent years.
In addition to driving assistance systems, the Latin NCAP tests also evaluate the protection of adult occupants, children and pedestrians, points that this model imported from Mexico meets.
What does the new Tiguan look like?
This model, based on the new MQB Evo platform, was presented in Argentina in two variants: Life and R-Line, with a renewed design, a technological leap and a level of equipment that confirms its innovative character.

New safety protocol for cars
The current Latin NCAP protocol (2020-2025) is divided into four assessment groups The final grade is determined by the lowest score in the four groups:
