The Petrobras oil workers’ strike was joined by workers from all its units in the Santos basin, including those at the Búzios field, in the pre-salt region, the secretary general of the National Federation of Oil Workers (FNP), Adaedson Costa, told Reuters this Thursday (18).
He mentioned that the P-66, P-67, P-68, P-69, P-70 and P-71 units are among the Santos units joined by the Petrobras strikers, in addition to their own units operating in Búzios, the largest field in Brazil.
In a statement, Petrobras reiterated today that emergency teams remain mobilized and that the strike has no impact on production and market supply.
Costa told Reuters that the FNP, which has four affiliated unions, was assessing whether there were possible impacts on production. He also explained that approved platforms operating in the pre-salt sector operate with outsourced labor and are therefore not participating in the strike.
