During the period, beer recorded a price increase of 0.73% for home consumption. For consumption in bars and restaurants, the price varied more. It increased by 0.78%, according to unpublished data from CervBrasil. November’s IPCA was minus 0.18%.
However, over a longer 12-month period, the cost of drinking beer at home (4.53%) was greater than the increase in IPCA (5.17%). Street consumption increased less than inflation: 3.63%.
