The weather remains open, with little cloudiness and no risk of rain, for the States of the South-Eastern Region this Tuesday. High temperatures, characteristic of the summer that began two days ago, are expected in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo. The maximum is 36°C for the capital Rio de Janeiro and 32°C for São Paulo. Thermometers indicate 30°C in Belo Horizonte (MG) and Vitória (ES).

However, rain affects other parts of the country. With the formation of a cold front, storms arrive in the South. Rain showers, accompanied by winds of up to 60 km/h, occur in Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and Paraná. Thermometers reach 33°C in Florianópolis (SC), 32°C in Curitiba (PR) and 28°C in Porto Alegre (RS).
— The rain will come with gusts of wind and there will even be a risk of hail. There is a lot of instability in the region, because we have thermodynamics favorable to humidity, in addition to the action of an elongated area of low pressure — explains meteorologist Andrea Ramos.
According to the yellow alert issued by the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet), storms are also expected in the Northeast region, where the effects of low relative humidity in the air could be felt in recent days. Despite climatic instability, temperatures remain high in the region. The maximum is 30°C for Fortaleza (CE), Maceió (AL) and Natal (RN).
Intense rains are also affecting the central-western region of Brazil. With precipitation of up to 100 mm/day, accompanied by thunderstorms and winds of up to 100 km/h, cities like Cuiabá (MT) and Goiânia (GO) record a maximum temperature of 32ºC.

The recommendation of the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) is that the population avoids facing bad weather, observes changes in slope and, if possible, turns off electrical appliances and the general energy supply. The Institute also leaves a series of instructions for residents of areas that could be most affected by the rains. Look:
Turn off electrical appliances and the general power supply;
Observe changes in slope;
Stay in a sheltered area and, in case of gusty winds, do not take shelter under trees, due to the slight risk of falling and electric shock, and do not park vehicles near transmission towers and advertising signs;
In case of flooding or similar, protect your belongings from water by packing them in plastic bags;
Obtain more information from Civil Protection (telephone 199) and the firefighters (telephone 193).
