The fingerprints of conversations between Fausto Bossolo, former secretary of administration of Sorocaba, and his wife, show political differences between the people investigated by Operation Copy and Glue, responsible for the dismissal of Rodrigo Manga (Republicans) from the seat of mayor of Sorocaba, inside São Paulo.
In one of the messages exchanged with his wife, the woman calls the dismissed mayor “171”, alluding to the article in the constitution for the offense of embezzlement. Fausto responds with a “yes”, in agreement with this statement. The conversation took place on October 5, 2022.

Fausto is cited in the Federal Police report as one of the public officials who, within the city hall structure, allegedly allowed illegal direct contracts and thwarted the competitive nature of the tender processes.

In March 2025, during another conversation with his wife, the then Secretary of Administration called Josivaldo Batista a devil.
Josivaldo was arrested by federal police on November 6. He was pastor of the Templo Gloria e Renovo de Deus church and is the brother-in-law of the dismissed mayor.
The pastor is married to Manga’s sister-in-law, also a pastor, Simone de Souza. In April, the PF found around R$863,000 in cash at an address linked to religious groups. Suspicious movements involving the couple’s church, which has two offices in São Paulo, reportedly caught the attention of investigators.

Targets of the federal police investigation
The dismissed mayor and his wife, Sirlange Maganhato, are under investigation by the Federal Police (PF) for suspected irregularities in health contracts in the management of the city in the interior of São Paulo. According to the investigation report to which the Metropolises had access to it, he is the leader and main beneficiary of the corruption scheme.

Rodrigo Manga had to leave his post as mayor on November 6, following a court decision as part of Operation Copy-Paste. Furthermore, Sirlange was dismissed from her position as president of the Social Solidarity Fund (FSS) in November.
The first lady is also under investigation for money laundering. According to the police investigation, in July 2021, she exchanged suspicious messages with Bossolo. Prints show that Sirlange knew which entity would take over Eden UPA before the results of the town hall’s call for tenders.
Corruption scheme
- There is evidence of the involvement of companies and other politicians in the project led by Rodrigo Manga, according to the Federal Police.
- The PF suspects that the Disney trip of the dismissed mayor’s family, which took place late last year, after his re-election, was paid for with bribes.
- The Court also authorized the removal and unavailability of property belonging to the persons under investigation, worth approximately 6.5 million reais, as well as the application of precautionary measures.
- In May, Manga was already accused in an action for administrative improbability. Overbilling of more than 11 million reais is suspected when purchasing digital whiteboards from the supplier Educateca.
- He is also suspected of having received bribes as part of a money embezzlement scheme within the framework of a contract with a social health organization (OSS) to manage an emergency care unit (UPA) in the interior of the city.
