The UGT Public Services has once again denounced the deficit in health resources from which the province of Guadalajara suffers due to the lack of mobile intensive surveillance units (ICU), a situation which, according to the union, occurs throughout the provincial territory and … is repeated most frequently in Torremocha del Campo district.
The trade union organization gave as an example a road accident that occurred Monday afternoon in the town of Horna, belonging to the zone of influence of Torremocha del Campo. As the UGT explains, The UVI in the area was unable to go to the accident scene because they were transferring to Toledo.
Considering this circumstance, Only one basic life support ambulance attended the scene.who transferred the person concerned to the Sigüenza health center. Subsequently, and taking into account the need to refer the patient to the Guadalajara hospital, it was you have to wait an hour and a half for the arrival of a mobile intensive care unit coming from the capital of Alcarreña.
The UGT regrets that this lack of health resources leaves the population of the province without protection and limit the ability to respond to unforeseen events and accidents. The union warns that this deficit places Guadalajara at a clear disadvantage compared to the rest of the provinces of Castilla-La Mancha in terms of attention to health emergencies.
The UGT Public Services emphasize the need to strengthen the means available to guarantee adequate health care and avoid delays that could compromise patient safety in critical situations.
