Larissa Manoela and Giovanna Rispoli are the protagonists of the film Traição Entre Amigas, a national production directed by Bruno Barreto and released in theaters last Thursday (11/12).
Inspired by the first book by bestselling author Thalita Rebouças, the story follows Penélope (Larissa) and Luiza (Giovanna). Best friends since childhood, they radically change their life plans after an episode of betrayal.

While Larissa’s character Penélope enjoys a lesbian romance with Yana (Nathalia Garcia) in the film, Giovanna’s character Luiza becomes involved with Gabriel, played by none other than André Luiz Frambach, Larissa Manoela’s husband.
The relationship between the three did not start now. Larissa’s husband and Giovanna share an old friendship and the intimacy of the trio is taken into account in the production.

“When we say we are together in a movie, people don’t imagine that our characters don’t even know each other, even though we are married,” Larissa said in a conversation with Metropolises. Giovanna adds: “André and I joked that, God forbid, we would make a film as a couple, because we had a brotherly relationship.”
“André and Giovanna have been friends for many years, before André met Larissa. And Larissa and Giovanna had made Carousel together,” explained Bruno Barreto, also specifying that he had made an excellent choice of actors for the feature film.
In addition to Larissa, Giovanna and André Frambach, the cast includes Pedro Colombelli, Gabrielle Joie, Cadu Libonati, Emanuelle Araújo, Dan Ferreira, Marcelo Saback and Guenia Lemos.
