The peace of the weekend was once again disturbed in the San Carlos area, where a construction company with more than three decades of experience became the target of a robbery that resulted in significant material losses and a growing sense of vulnerability among residents and traders.
The incident occurred between Saturday night and yesterday morning at the company Robustelli Hermanos SA, 520, between 134 and 135. According to speakers, one of the managers entered the property after 1 a.m. to park an edger and discovered what had happened: unknown persons had broken through a side wall overlooking an uninhabited property and, after gaining entry by force, broke into one of the offices.
The thieves acted in time. In the first room, they broke a built-in piece of furniture and searched every corner until they took eight packages of 2.5mm unipolar cables, five rolls of 1.5mm cables, two grinders and a Bosch drill, as well as other items whose absence is still being verified.
Since the company has external cameras and an alarm system, it is expected that the analysis of the images can provide information about the movement before the robbery and the possible escape route of the criminals. The episode joins a series of actions against businesses and warehouses in the region, many of which were committed during periods when the areas were deserted, facilitating the actions of gangs sniffing out unguarded properties.
