The mayor of La Plata, Julio Alak, will lead the event this Friday where he will present the 2026 municipal security plan. The event, with a strong presence of local and provincial officials, will take place in the Golden Hall of the City Palace.
As EL DIA has learned, this public policy, with a series of new measures, aims to integrate more technological tools, increase patrols and comprehensively modernize our city’s surveillance system.
What stands out among the announcements is that a digital ring with 50 patent readers will be put into operation and 1,200 cameras and domes as well as 6 state-of-the-art drones will be integrated into the security systems.
On the other hand, the launch of neighborhood alarms connected to the Ministry of Security system and a network of secure companies in the city’s shopping centers was announced. In this sense, it was explained that a system is being developed with siren and light with surveillance camera, very similar to that of the safe stops. Added that a neighbor can press an emergency button through an application.
