
Girona is preparing to add a new center linked to construction sector. Obramat, the company specializing in materials for work and reformhas started the selection process to configure the equipment for its future warehouse in the city, which is scheduled to open in next year. The incorporation of more than a hundred professionals will mark the business landing in the province and will expand its network in Catalonia, where it already operates seven establishments.
The selection is managed by Randstad and is aimed at profiles with business experience, technical knowledge product and professional customer orientation. Depending on the company, candidates must demonstrate comfort in dynamic environments and a clear vocation towards the sector. Registrations are made through the portal activated by the company (empleo.obramat.es), where the different positions available are listed.
Seven centers in Catalonia
The future warehouse will be the eighth of the brand in Cataloniawhich already has centers in Sabadell, Badalona, Terrassa, Vilanova i la Geltrú, L’Hospitalet, Lleida and Tarragona. With its arrival in Girona, Obramat seeks to strengthen its presence in a market where construction activity maintains a notable weight and a broad base of professionals and small businesses.
The head of development and talent acquisition at Obramat Iberia, Esther Nuño, emphasizes that this opening “represents a step forward in a sustained expansion which has been supporting Catalan professionals for over a decade. The council also highlights the local impact of the project, both due to the volume of direct contracts and relationships with local suppliers.
Obramat currently has more than 7,100 workers between Spain and Portugal and operates 38 warehouses on the peninsula. Its model focuses on providing more than 20,000 references, specialist advice and a service aimed at self-employed workers, SMEs and professionals in the sector.
The new warehouse in Girona will follow this line. The company is looking for “highly qualified and passionate about the product and the customer“, from sales specialists to materials experts and warehouse operations professionals. In addition to direct jobs, the company plans to generate indirect jobs related to outsourced services.
Since its arrival in Spain in 2006, Obramat, integrated into the Adeo Group, one of the main European players in the sector, has maintained a continuous rhythm enlargement. The opening in Girona consolidates its presence in Catalonia and reinforces its commitment to local economic development in an area that the company considers strategic for its growth.
