Bye, cappuccino: matcha latte has become the viral drink of 2025
“This tea has attracted attention for its potential benefits for people with type 2 diabetes. The spice, used for centuries in cooking and traditional medicine, contains bioactive compounds capable of improving insulin sensitivity and reducing blood sugar spikes after meals,” explains the expert graduated from the University of Brasilia.
According to Juliana, recent studies show that moderate consumption of this drink – around one to two cups per day – can help stabilize blood sugar levels, especially when combined with a balanced diet and regular physical activity.
In addition, cinnamon tea “has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, which makes it an additional ally in the prevention of metabolic complications.”
Beware of excess when drinking tea
Although it has several wellness benefits, this tea should not be consumed in excess. Cinnamon contains coumarin, a substance that in large quantities can affect the liver. “It is therefore preferable to always seek medical or nutritional advice before including tea in your daily routine,” recommends the nutritionist.
