Three people were injured, one seriously, when two cars collided at kilometer 13 of the M-607 while one was traveling in the opposite direction.
The event occurred around 8:45 p.m. this Saturday in the Fuencarral district and, as a result of the impact, two men aged 57 and 58 who were traveling normally were injured, one of them was diagnosed with serious chest trauma and was transferred with a serious prognosis to the La Paz hospital. His companion was also transferred to the San Carlos Clinical Hospital with a moderate prognosis due to multiple contusions, as reported by Madrid Emergency Services to Europa Press.
The Madrid firefighters went to the scene to assist the driver who caused the accident in his evacuation. According to Madrid Emergency Services, the 45-year-old man was not trapped, but firefighters opened the car to facilitate his exit. The driver was transferred to October 12 with multiple concussions and a moderate prognosis.
The Civil Guard is investigating. The firefighters also secured the vehicles by cutting off the batteries and the Madrid Municipal Police escorted those involved to the respective hospitals.
