Tierra Comunera asks to distinguish the Villalar Festival with the Castilla y León Prize

The Castellano-Tierra Comunera Party (PCAS-TC) officially presented the candidacy of the Villalar de los Comuneros Festival to the Castilla y León 2025 Prize in the Human Values ​​​​category and social, as reported by the political party itself. They claim this distinction “in recognition” of the “historical, cultural and civic role as the most emblematic and participatory autonomous celebration of the Community”.

The proposal highlights that the Villalar Festival constitutes “a symbol of freedom, justice, dignity and democratic identity”and highlights its “open, popular and plural character”, which brings together tens of thousands of people every April 23 in the fields of Villalar de los Comuneros (Valladolid).

The formation highlights that it is “the largest regional celebration in Spain, far above any institutional celebration of other communities, and that it has become a reference for citizen participation and historical memory common.
