The Seville City Council, led by José Luis Sanz, announced the imminent start of the resurfacing work on Satsuma and Clementinas streets, in the Santa Aurelia district, in the Cerro Amate districtwhich will result in the closure of both roads … road traffic until 4 p.m. every day, starting Friday, December 26, as part of its redevelopment.
According to the advisor of Urban planningJuan de la Rosa, this resurfacing work requires the total closure of Satsuma and Clementinas streets, from December 26 to January 1 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
In this sense, the traffic plan the project provides for measures on Mandarina Street, which remains a “purchase fund” accessible only to residents; and on General Ollero Street from Cañadul Street, which is also in a “fund de sac” accessible only to residents.
Furthermore, they establish alternative routes traffic in General Ollero, Cañadul and Amor streets, Avenida de Andalucía, Mandarina street and Plaza las Cadeneras.
Juan de la Rosa emphasized that “with a total of 562,000 euros investment, 212,000 euros in Satsuma and 350,000 euros in Clementina“We responded to a historic request from neighbors and modernized this part of Santa Aurelia as we committed to.”
According to Juan de la Rosa, currently the Santa Aurelia neighborhood “It’s a more accessible neighborhood, with more trees, more lighting and better public spaces.”
Thus, Satsuma Street was renovated sidewalksthe sidewalks were widened, horns were created in the pedestrian crossing areas, architectural barriers were eliminated and new LED lighting was installed in the square and around the playground, in addition to renewing the entire supply and sanitation network in the section between Amor and General Ollero streets, with new connections for homes.
For its part, a complete redevelopment was carried out on rue Clementinas, allowing 44 parking spacesincluding two intended for people with reduced mobility, renovated the metal frame, paved, painted the roads, installed LED lighting and planted trees.
