The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has launched a call for tenders for the works contract aimed at improving road safety in the region road N-502, when it crosses the commune of The Nava de Ricomalillo between kilometers 162,650 and … 164,073; with a tender budget of 1.63 million euros (VAT included). The corresponding call for tenders will be published shortly in the Official State Gazette (BOE).
Thanks to this action, road safety on the section will be improved by conditioning the intersections of the N-502 with the CM-4171 and with the CM-411 and the organization of movements at the intersection with TO-1191.
Likewise, sidewalks and parking lots will be built in sections where they do not exist, a layer of sound-absorbing bituminous mixture will be spread over the entire section, horizontal and vertical signage will be replaced and educational radars will be placed at the entrances to the N-502, as well as push-button lights at the three existing pedestrian crossings.
The works will be completed by landscaping and installation of irrigation at the roundabout at kilometer 163.975, flower beds and trees along the crossing, replacement of relevant services and installation of public lighting along the stretch.
This action is part of the program for the conservation and maintenance of the national road network, in which the Ministry of Transport has invested 217.51 million euros since June 2018 in the province of Toledo, and which generates a significant impetus to improve the quality of service of the existing national road infrastructure.
