The investigation
According to Delegate Bruno Rafael Nunes, the investigation began on November 30 of this year, when the suspects invaded a UBS in pursuit of the victim.
“On the spot, they attempted to execute the victim, who was undergoing medical suture treatment due to an injury sustained following a disagreement with the trio, during a party organized nearby, on the same day,” the delegate explained.
According to police authorities, during the criminal action, the perpetrators threatened the nurses who were trying to protect the victim and insisted on trying to kill the man.
“Medical professionals responded to the attacks and, at one point, the sisters even took a scalpel and scissors to try to kill the victim, and were arrested before the crime was committed,” Bruno Rafael said.
According to information provided by the police chief, after the complaint, the police team carried out several measures aimed at locating and arresting the perpetrators, but they were not found.
Prisons
This is why the police authority represented the court for the provisional arrest of those involved, a measure which was granted.
“Once the investigation advanced, we arrested the 39-year-old woman in the Sarapolândia neighborhood, and the other two people involved were arrested in the Santa Rita neighborhood, both located in the municipality,” Nunes said.
The delegate also stressed that investigations will continue to determine the true motivation of the crime, since there are signs of a possible relationship with the participation of the victim’s cousin in an alleged crime committed years ago, involving members of the sisters’ family.
The man and two women will face the crimes of attempted capital homicide, battery, menacing, unlawful embarrassment and contempt.
