United States President Donald Trump warned Colombian President Gustavo Petro on Thursday (11/12) that he could be the next South American target of the anti-drug campaign. The statement was made during a press conference.
At the White House roundtable with business leaders, Trump was asked if he had spoken to Petro.
“I haven’t really thought much about him. He’s been quite hostile to the United States. He’s going to have serious problems if he doesn’t wake up (…) So be careful, otherwise he’ll be next. He’ll be next. I hope he listens. He’ll be next, because we don’t like people who kill,” Trump said.

He reported that “Colombia produces a lot of drugs. They have cocaine factories. They make cocaine” and sell it directly to the United States.
Oil tanker
This statement comes after the North American president spoke of the military operation which made it possible to seize an oil tanker in the Caribbean Sea, during the escalation of tensions with Venezuela.
Trump confirmed Wednesday’s operation for what he considers a valid reason: “We just seized an oil tanker off the coast of Venezuela – a big tanker, very big, the biggest ever seized, in fact. »
U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi said they “executed a warrant to seize a tanker used to transport sanctioned oil from Venezuela and Iran.”
