A 16-year-old girl died almost instantly. The same thing happened to a man who has not yet been identified. Aside from that, Four people were seriously injured. The attack occurred in the Triángulo neighborhood in the western part of that city, and the conspiracy behind the trail of blood is believed to have to do with drug sales.
The attack occurred at 1:20 a.m. in Cisneros at 63:00 between Campbell and Pamaló. The place is known as Toba district, although officially it has a different name. People from this community of indigenous peoples live there, most of whom come from the Chaco. The area was shocked by the two crimes, especially by the 16-year-old teenager named Deisy Jazmín Durán, who died from a shot in the head.
According to the Rosario prosecutor’s office, several 911 calls were received from neighbors around 1:20 a.m. warning of shots being fired in the neighborhood. According to the story, the shots were aimed at a group of people who were on the street. When police arrived at the scene, they found four injured people lying on the sidewalk and two dead.
In the early hours of the morning, security at the emergency hospital became a scene of tension, with relatives arriving to inquire about the injured. Police surveillance of the place has been increased to prevent incidents after employees experienced scenes of fear in recent weeks following the shooting against the building when Dylan Cantero, a member of Los Monos who is currently incarcerated in Piñero prison, entered.
In front of Cisneros’ home at 6300, investigators lifted 10 9mm caliber capsules. Officers arrested two people they believed were suspicious: a 36-year-old woman and a 25-year-old boy. Skin tests to check for traces of gunpowder gave a negative result, so they were released.
a hot area
This area of Rosario has a long history of crime related to drug trafficking. In July of this year, a 30-year-old man was shot dead in Manantiales at 3700. Twelve fired cartridges were left at the scene, evidence of a coordinated attack.
One of the most serious cases occurred in 2022. In the Fonavi complex in Sanguinetti, two teenagers – Valentín Solís, 14, and Eric Galli, 15 – were shot by three hitmen with machine guns. The minors would have been mistaken for other people.
The double murder that occurred in the early hours of this Saturday reveals the context of larger tensions in the drug world. It marks a rise in violence in Rosario that, while not reaching the intensity of previous years, shows an increase in crime compared to 2024, a year in which homicides fell by 64% compared to 2023.
According to official figures, there have been 104 homicides in the Rosario department in the last eleven months. Data from the Santa Fe Public Security Observatory shows that 85 homicides were recorded in November 2024, showing that the increase in violent deaths has increased by 22.4% this year. However, this number is less shocking when compared to 2023, when 260 people were murdered in Rosario.
Firearms continue to be used in the vast majority of homicides in Rosario. According to November 2025 data from the Public Security Observatory, they represent 79.8% of cases (83 victims).
In parallel with the increase in murders, official reports show that the number of people injured by firearms in Rosario is also increasing. In 2025, the judicial authority, which includes this city, registered a total of 363 injuries through November, showing a picture of armed violence that is much broader than that reflected in completed homicides.
In November of this year, 41 firearm injuries were recorded in Rosario, making this month one of the most critical of the year in terms of non-fatal victims of armed violence. These data suggest that while homicides have increased, overall exposure to gun violence is even greater.
According to the November 2025 report, 56.7% of homicides in Rosario occur in connection with illicit economies or criminal organizations (59 cases). Interpersonal conflicts explain 25.0% of cases (26 victims), while homicides due to robbery account for 3.8%.
