
Agents of the Barcelona Regional Public Health Investigation Unit of Mossos d’Esquadra dismantled 2 plantations of “indoor” marijuana in the district of Sant Martí of Barcelona and they have arrested 3 people between 25 and 49 years old as alleged perpetrators after registration two consecutive fires in the properties where the crops were located, the police reported in a press release.
Both fires were caused by an overload of the electrical installation properties, following a fraudulent connection to the electricity network.
The first of the fires occurred around 10:30 a.m. on November 30 in the Zamora Street from Barcelona and several patrols from Mossos, Guàrdia Urbana and firefighters went to the scene, putting out the flames.
Inside, researchers located 1,200 plants of marijuana in different phases of flowering, 60 bright screensair conditioners and fans.
The same day, agents arrested the alleged manager of the plantation, who had no criminal record, and confiscated the drug, which on the black market would reach 127,000 euros.
Three arrests
The next day, December 1, Guardia Urbana agents were activated around 10:00 p.m. by a second firethis time on rue Auger, but in the same area of Barcelona.
