The Central Operational Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard is carrying out several searches this Thursday in companies linked to Servinabar, notably at the headquarters of Forestalia in Zaragoza, as part of the investigation opened at the National Court during which the former PSOE activist Leire Díez and the former president of the National Company of Industrial Participations (SEPI), Vicente Fernández, were arrested yesterday for allegations of irregularities in public procurement.
As the sources of the investigation informed Europa Press, the searches are underway in Madrid, Seville and Zaragoza and concern companies linked to Servinabar, the company owned by the former organizational secretary of the PSOE Santos Cerdán, according to the UCO investigation.
The aforementioned sources added that no detentions were planned in this new phase of the Armed Institute’s procedures.
This is an ongoing operation in which the agents acted on orders of the National Court, within the framework of a case led by the president of the Central Court of Instruction number 6, Antonio Piña, under summary secrecy and in which the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office also participates.
