Construction planning, technology and management are no longer the preserve of large construction companies. More and more celebrities and influencers are investing in renovations, smart homes and sustainable solutions, transforming their homes into functional and modern spaces and, at the same time, a trend reference for the public.

According to João Rafael da Silva Casas, a metallurgical engineer with an MBA in real estate business management and civil construction and with more than 18 years of experience in the sector, “the technique in Brazil has always existed, but integrated planning is often lacking. Today, this is what makes the difference in high-end projects, like those that celebrities have sought for their homes.”
The expert explains that adopting technologies such as automation, intelligent monitoring and digital simulations can make any work safer and more efficient. “When we manage to combine design, technology and management, it’s not just a question of aesthetics: it’s a time saving, a reduction in waste and predictable results,” he adds.
Among the practices observed in famous residential projects are: the integration of lighting and air conditioning systems, the use of sustainable materials, detailed management of schedules and attention to environmental impact. Although these solutions still remain exceptions in traditional residential construction, they reflect trends that already exist on large construction sites and engineering startups.
Celebrities like Kim Kardashian, for example, are investing in renovations that combine functionality and style, while artists like Rihanna have transformed their homes into environments that combine comfort, innovation and sustainability. Digital influencers, like Emma Chamberlain, have also explored author projects at home, combining technology and creativity in strategic ways.
“The public follows every detail of these houses, which influences the market. People are starting to realize that a good project goes beyond aesthetics, it involves organization, planning and technological intelligence,” comments Casas.
At the same time, the interest in better and more efficient projects has prompted construction companies and architects to rethink processes, seeking to combine tradition, technique and innovation. The movement reflects the experience of personalities who transformed their homes into references of style and functionality.
“The residential market is transforming, and seeing celebrities and influencers embrace planning, technology and sustainability shows that good management practices and innovation are not just a trend, but the path to smarter and more functional projects,” concludes the engineer.
